
Don’t have a rice cooker? No problem. You don’t need one!
Here is a fool proof way to make rice on the stove top.
Simple Stovetop Rice
Equipment
- 1 stainless steel pot with lid medium
Ingredients
- 1 cup Long grain rice
- 1 ¾ cups Water
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Butter
Instructions
- Rinse rice in a strainer.
- Place in a medium stainless steel pot.
- Add water, salt and butter.
- Bring to a boil stirring constantly.
- Boil for about two minutes, then reduce heat to low.
- Cover and let cook for 30 minutes without lifting the lid.
- When water is completely absorbed the rice is cooked.
- Remove from heat and let stand until ready to serve.
