Mincemeat Tarts

Truly a flavour of Christmas, mincemeat tarts are one of my favourites. They’re so easy to make and add variety to a treat tray.

Mincemeat Tarts

Mincemeat is a sweet-spiced mixture of brandied minced fruit such as apples, raisins and candied peel, spices, sugar and nuts. The name comes from 15th century England when mincemeat also included minced meat or beef suet and was a way of preserving meat in the winter.
The traditional flavours of mincemeat are a part of many Christmas celebrations.
